Event Details
Burying and honoring the dead was a challenge of early Jewish Denver. Land that is today the parking garage of Botanic Gardens was once the Hebrew Cemetery. Some bodies might remain there. As with the rest of the community, rich Jews remained divided from poor Jews after their death. So were divisions between those along West Colfax and in East Denver. Mention will be made of a virtually forgotten Jewish burial plot in Riverside Cemetery.
