Nov 7, 2022

On Friday, October 21, JEWISHcolorado‘s YAD, Jewish Explorers, and PJ Library came together at Temple Emanuel for a family Shabbat. Cantor Sacks welcomed everyone with Shabbat songs and blessings, dancing, and fun. As PJ Library Manager Bethany Friedlander said, “It was a great night with lots for families to participate in.”

The activities included:

  • “Passing-Along boxes” where families decorated boxes that will be filled with items to be donated to local organizations
  • A PJ Library reading nook
  • Make-a-bracelet, give-a-bracelet to a friend
  • Gratitude wall, where children wrote or drew something they were grateful for and shared it on the wall
  • A musical experience through the instrument area

Cindy Coons, the Director of Jewish Explorers & Family Engagement said, “It was a wonderful evening of welcoming in and celebrating Shabbat together as a community!”
