Do you ever wonder how life might be different if you felt less anxious?

Anxiety is a thief! It robs us of joy and ease and makes it difficult to be in the present moment. In addition, there are particularly Jewish patterns of feeling anxious.

  1. Rabbi Caryn Aviv’s 5-week Unlearning Jewish Anxiety series will provide you with:
  • A concise and practical guide to how our minds work and how we create unconscious habits, in response to antisemitism, that cause suffering.
  1. An analysis of complex collective, transmitted trauma: how Jews internalize antisemitism and turn those messages on ourselves, one another, and our loved ones and allies.
  2. A tour through three different Jewish anxiety patterns about our safety, worthiness, and belonging in the world.
  3. Jewish wisdom to grow your self-awareness, curiosity, self-compassion, and courage to change.
  4. Thought questions and practical exercises to help you become more aware of what you have learned and internalized.
  5. Helpful tools to notice when youā€™re in a habit hole of suffering from internalized thought distortions, and most importantly, ways to get out of those habits and find better alternatives that bring you more joy.

This class is a particularly timely tool as many people in our community are feeling a heightened sense of anxiety given the current situation in the Middle East. We invite you to participate and gather practical tools to navigate difficult times like these.
