Event Details
Visit LoDo with Tom Noel, a professor of history and director of public history emeritus at CU-Denver. He is a longtime former history columnist for the Rocky Mountain News and The Denver Post and appears on Channel 9 as “Dr. Colorado.” Tom is the author or co-author of 53 books. LoDo (Lower Downtown) started out as the original Denver City. Originally residential and commercial, it boomed as the rail hub business center and cultural hub of Denver. Amid an eruption of high rises downtown Union Station and other landmarks have been preserved. Many former office buildings and warehouses have been converted to lofts as LoDo reinvents itself as a residential, entertainment and arts district. Denver’s Neighborhood Series continues on September 30 at 11:00 a.m. with Montclair, Park Hill and Lowry.
