Join the inaugural Jewish Colorado Giving Day! Hosted by JEWISHcolorado in collaboration with the Colorado Gives Foundation, Jewish Colorado Giving Day will be held on May 21, 2024, with early giving beginning on Sunday, May 5. With over $50,000 in matching funds available to the 44 participating organizations, the goal is to generate $1,000,000 in philanthropic support during this statewide giving campaign. The Community Incentive Fund Match only applies to online gifts made on May 21 in the Colorado Gives Day platform.

Join us for a day of Torah learning and community lunch as we come together to process and heal together as a community struggling to move forward in the post-Oct 7th world. We are thrilled to be partnering with two nationally renowned educators, Rabbi Shmuly Yanklowitz from Valley Beit MIdrash and Rabbi David Kasher, from Hadar as well as our very own Dr. Julie Julie Lieber to lead us in meaningful Torah study for our times.

• Rabbi David Kasher serves as the Director of Hadar West Coast. He has served on the faculty of Berkeley Law, the Wexner Heritage Program, Pardes, SVARA, The Hartman Institute, AJR and HUC. Rabbi Kasher is a teacher of nearly all forms of classical Jewish literature, but his greatest passion is Torah commentary.
• Dr. Julie Lieber is the Chief Jewish Life and Engagement Officer at JEWISHcolorado. Formerly, she served as the Director of the Pardes-Kevah Teaching Fellowship as well as the Interim Executive Director and Director of Education at Kevah, a national non-profit facilitating home-based Torah study groups.
• Rabbi Dr. Shmuly Yanklowitz is the President and Dean of Valley Beit Midrash. He has twice been named one of America’s Top Rabbis by Newsweek and has been named by The Forward as one of the 50 most influential Jews. He is the author of 23 books on Jewish ethics.

JEWISHcolorado and its Israel & Overseas Center are launching a Jewish and Israel lecture series focused on providing a glimpse into “what comes next” in Israel, featuring scholars and authors sharing their thoughts and perspectives in this critical moment. We hope you will join us for these thoughtful and thought-provoking sessions as JEWISHcolorado strives to create a vibrant, secure, connected, and inclusive Jewish community.

Whether you’re extroverted or introverted, from Colorado or not, Jewish or Jew(ish) you can join JEWISHcolorado’s Young Adult Division (YAD) volunteer leadership team. YAD leaders are creative, excellent communicators, team-oriented, energetic, and skilled schmoozers. Many leaders in the greater JEWISHcolorado space, including the Board of Directors, got their start in YAD leadership. If you’re interested in starting or continuing your leadership journey, apply by June 3.
