Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC)

Advocating for the Colorado Jewish community.

JCRC is a nonpartisan body that brings Jewish Coloradans together to advance our shared values and policy priorities. A program of JEWISHcolorado, JCRC is comprised of 45 member organizations and 15 at-large members representing diverse parts of our community. JCRC advocates, educates, mobilize actions, and builds relationships to ensure that the Jewish community and our neighbors can thrive.

JCRC’s work is informed by the following values:

  • Kol Yisrael Arevim Zeh Bazeh (All Jews are Responsible for One Another): We are the collective voice of the Jewish Community across Colorado, responsible for representing and empowering our many diverse views and backgrounds
  • Kavod Habriyot (Human Dignity): We honor the dignity of all people by promoting democratic norms, practices, and values. The Jewish community is all too familiar with the dangers of extreme and illiberal politics, so we will work tirelessly to build a healthier democracy and civic culture. We will fight antisemitism and the politics of division at the state legislature, in city councils, and in other venues throughout Colorado.
  • Eretz Yisrael (The Land of Israel): We believe the Jewish people have a right to self-determination in their ancestral homeland, the land of Israel. We are a Zionist organization committed to a secure, Jewish, and democratic state of Israel.
  • Machloket L’Shem Shamayim (Debate for the Sake of Heaven): We tackle difficult issues honestly and directly, embracing respectful dialogue and constructive deliberation in the face of strong differences.
  • Ha’zman Katzar ve’hamelacha Merubah (The Day is Short, and the Work is Great): We are action-oriented and focused on achieving successful outcomes.
