JEWISHcolorado is now accepting applications for the One Happy Camper grant program for summer 2026. In partnership with the Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC), this program offers incentive grants to eligible families sending their children to Jewish overnight camp for the first time.
Through One Happy Camper, Colorado families with children entering grades 1–12 can receive financial support for an unforgettable Jewish camp experience. To qualify, campers must attend a Jewish overnight camp for at least 12 consecutive days. Grants can be used at any of the three Jewish overnight camps in Colorado or at more than 155 eligible Jewish camps nationwide. Campers attending 12–18 days are eligible for a $700 grant, while those attending 19 days or longer may receive $1,000.
In 2025, JEWISHcolorado awarded more than $152,000 to 149 first-time campers who attended 27 camps across North America.
One family shared, “We are so grateful to receive this generous One Happy Camper grant. Your support helped us send our child to a Jewish camp this summer. We know that this experience will strengthen her Jewish identity, help her feel more connected to Judaism, and create lifelong friendships. Thank you again for this kind and generous grant.”
“Jewish summer camp offers immersive Jewish experiences that are woven into daily camp life. These unique experiences help to strengthen Jewish identity, sense of self and belonging, and connections to Jewish community,” said Cindy Coons, JEWISHcolorado’s Director of Jewish Explorers & Family Engagement. “Jewish summer camp creates a safe space for Jewish youth to experience the beauty and joy of Judaism while building and cultivating lifelong friendships, unforgettable memories, and Jewish pride through shared values and supportive community.”
