B’nai Havurah has a new program called, Year of Joy, which gives us a chance to celebrate moments of joy through monthly programs. One Sunday a month, we will focus on a holiday, life cycle event or mitzvah/service project. Friends and family are welcome. No program fee.
On November 13, come celebrate Havdalah, which marks the end of Shabbat. Enjoy a delicious dinner (called melaveh maklah) and learn some Israeli dancing. Hal Aqua will lead us in a short musical Havdalah service, with some fun teaching about the customs and objects of this lovely ritual. Risa Aqua will lead us in easy Israeli dances, and we’ll have an opportunity to make spice boxes to use at home with our families.
The evening will wrap up with a delicious Mediterranean-themed dinner (think hummus and falafel). Don’t miss this opportunity to awaken all of our senses with friends, family, and community.
