In 2018, Colorado voters passed two ballot referenda to create two independent commissions for congressional reapportionment and legislative redistricting. The two new commissions are each composed of a 12-member panel of 4 Democrats, 4 Republicans, and 4 Unaffiliated voters; no commissioners can be recently elected officials, political candidates, or lobbyists.

The progress these commissions have made are coming to a town hall near you and taking public comment throughout the summer.
