Raisins & Almonds 2024: A Tu B'Shvat Celebration

The Colorado Hebrew Chorale and its treble choir, Kol Nashim invite the community to their annual showcase event: “Raisins & Almonds – A Tu B’Shvat Celebration 2024.”  The memorable event will take place on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024 beginning at 5:30 pm at the Hebrew Educational Alliance, 3600 S. Ivanhoe Street in Denver. 

The inspirational musical evening will honor Kol Nashim’s Founder and Music Director Leah Peer who will be retiring in June 2024. Local actor Albert Banker will serve as emcee. State Senator Dafna Michaelson Jenet will make the presentation to Leah on behalf of the choirs.  

The evening consists of a VIP reception with the honoree, a concert featuring both choirs and the presentation of the world premiere of Gerald Cohen’s Adonai – Whre Shall I Find You?, commissioned by the Chorale’s Founder and Music Director Carol Kozak Ward. The concert will be live-streamed.  The concert will be followed by a festive ice cream bar and Shira B’Tzibur, a community sing-along.
