The Legacy of the Holocaust for Medicine and War Crimes Today
Professor Phillippe Sands

Join us by Zoom as we present our keynote speaker for the 2023 Days of Remembrance programming will be the prominent international
lawyer, Queen’s Counsel, and multiple award-winning author, Philippe Sands. He is a professor of law at Harvard Law School and Directs the Centre on International Courts and Tribunals at University College London. Sands has worked closely with physicians documenting torture and medical war crimes, and he has argued multiple cases before the International Court of Justice, the European Court of Human Rights and the International Criminal Court.

This is one of two hybrid events produced by the CU Center for Bioethics and Humanities, CU Law, the CU Dept of Medicine and the CU Program in Jewish Studies with support for the William Silvers Endowment for Holocaust Genocide and Contemporary Bioethics.  We will also have a conversation with Professor Sands at CU Boulder on April 20th at noon which will be livestreamed and open for in-person attendance from the public. RSVP for one or both events using the same link.
