Are you seeking to live with greater consciousness and mindfulness, both in your actions and thoughts?  Mussar, a Jewish spiritual practice, explores personal character traits called Middot. Examples of these soul traits include humility, patience, honor, trust, and generosity, to name a few! Through working on the development and awareness of these traits, each of us learns how to respond to the world in ways that help bring about greater peace, compassion, understanding, and joy.

This 3-session class will provide a sample of the ancient Jewish, contemplative practice of Mussar through a variety of teaching modalities and expressive arts. No artistic experience is necessary, as we will use simple art techniques and supplies to explore our relationship through this spiritual pathway. Materials provided.

Rabbi Eva is an experienced Mussar teacher, studying and practicing for over two decades. Her passions include integrating Jewish and Mystical practices (text study, chanting, embodied modalities, meditation) with the expressive arts. R’ Eva is currently a fellow in the Jewish Studio Project Creative Facilitator Training and in their first Clergy Cohort.
