Event Details
Please join us for a conversation about the BRCA gene mutations, genetic testing, and the role of Jewish scientists, ethicists and advocates in the evolution and advancement of genetic testing.
Presented by the Dr. Helen Morris American Jewish Experience in Medicine Program at the Center of Bioethics and Humanities at CU Anschutz.
This online conversation with our panel of experts; Dr. Rachel Rabinovitch (Radiation Oncologist), Michelle Springer (Genetic Counselor) and Paul Wolpe (Bioethicist), will help us better understand the evolution of genetic testing and the options available today and will cover:
- Who should you get tested for the BRCA genetic mutation?
- What are some of your options if you test positive for a genetic mutation?
- How do we normalize taking pro-active steps in healthcare?
- Some of the ethical questions that surround genetic testing.
