AUDIENCE: JEWISHcolorado Women’s Philanthropy, “Smart Women, Start Conversations” series
Since Oct 7, sexual violence against women committed by Hamas has increasingly come into the spotlight, both for depravity and for the lack of acknowledgment and response by the international community. Join us for a talk by Dr. Masua Sagiv, Scholar in Residence of the Shalom Hartman Institute based in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Koret Visiting Assistant Professor of Jewish and Israel at U.C. Berkeley. Learn more about Sagiv’s research in feminist social change and the law, as well as her connections to the project of gathering evidence of sexual-based crimes on Oct. 7.
JEWISHcolorado and its Israel & Overseas Center are launching a Jewish and Israel lecture series focused on providing a glimpse into “what comes next” in Israel, featuring scholars and authors sharing their thoughts and perspectives in this critical moment. We hope you will join us for these thoughtful and thought-provoking sessions as JEWISHcolorado strives to create a vibrant, secure, connected, and inclusive Jewish community.
