Take a virtual visit to the other side of the globe with our intrepid Israeli Emissary Itai Divinsky for a conversation with his counterparts in Australia.

The small but vibrant Australian Jewish community dates to the British settlement of the continent in the late 18th century, and, yep, some of those original Jewish Aussies were almost certainly convicts transported from England. But they’ve come along way, baby. Tune in to find out what it’s like to live Jewishly in the Southern Hemisphere.

Emily Gian is currently the communications director at the Zionist Federation of Australia, where she’s worked since 2003. A mum to three rambunctious boys, she’s a lover of all things Israeli, including literature, television, food, her husband, and music, not necessarily in that order.
