With the snow finally ending and plants starting to bloom, it’s a great time to awaken your green thumb! Whether you are a flora novice or an advanced horticulturist, succulents are a fun and low-maintenance plant to watch grow over the seasons. Join YAD Ambassador, Tamara Berkman, and other Jewish young professionals for a terrarium-making gathering at Landsley Park!
YAD will provide you with a succulent, soil, and decorative drainage materials for your terrarium. Bring your own clear glass container. Your clear container can be anything you like – something upcycled from the kitchen, a fun capsule found in a thrift shop, a simple mason jar – feel free to be as creative as you would like. To properly fit all terrarium elements glass containers should be a minimum of 4 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide.
We’ll give you all the succulent growing tips you’ll need to keep your terrarium in top shape! Should inclement weather occur an alternative location in the same neighborhood will be provided.
YAD serves Jewish adults ages 21-45. Questions? Email YAD@JEWISHcolorado.org.
