Event Details
The Purim story is a saga of masked identities, secrets, hidden plots and underlying truths. What appears one way on the surface turns out be something different than expected. Explore what we chose to reveal and what wants to be concealed through mask-making. By putting on the mask, which is an act of revelation, we have the freedom to discover aspects of ourselves that we may not be able to without the mask.
Join in text study, mask-making, reflective writing, and movement with Rabbi Eva Sax-Boulder. No experience is needed, most materials will be provided. Please bring the following items to this class:
– Journal
– Pen
– Specific images you may want to incorporate (pictures, magazine clippings, etc.)
Rabbi Eva Sax-Bolder served as the Rabbi of The Shul of New York until moving to Boulder in the summer of 2021. She currently serves as the head of spiritual direction for the ALEPH Ordination Program and maintains a private practice as a spiritual companion.
