Join RMJHS as we explore how one woman researched her Denver family tree for a decade and discovered its fascinating journey from America to Denver.

When Marlene Connors discovered her Great Great Grandfather Moishe, she embarked on a decade-long genealogical journey into five generations of the Zinn family, tracing her family tree from Denver to a shtetl in what is now northwestern Ukraine. Her book, Welcome Moishe: A Story of the Moishe and Ruchel Zinn Family in America, follows the lives of her great great grandparents, Moishe and Ruchel Zinn, and subsequent generations of the Zinn family that settled in Denver, Kansas City and Boston.

Marlene Zinn Dalton Connors was born in 1947 to the Zinn/Rosenfeld family in Denver. After attending college in Washington, D.C. she pursued a successful career in finance in New York. She and her husband left New York in 1992 to explore the world, visiting all 50 States and over 65 countries. They “re-rooted” themselves to Washington, D.C. 25 years ago, where Connors continued her life-long social justice involvement.

Attendance is free and open to the public; registration is required: https://bit.ly/rmjhs22.
