Edible Ethos: A Taste of Flowers & Urban Farming
Set in the lush garden environment of JFS Altius Farms, this two-hour immersive experience will guide guests through three interactive and educational stations:
Edible Flower Tasting
Led by Courtney Thompson of Blooming Kitchen, explore the taste, texture, and beauty of seasonal edible flowers.
Urban Farm Tour
Led by Tommy Butler of JFS Altius Farms, get a behind-the-scenes look at the farm’s operations, including their outdoor growing spaces, mushroom grow containers, and full-scale indoor aeroponic lettuce and herb systems. NOTE: Please wear closed-toed shoes, tie back long hair, and consider bringing sunglasses or a hat.
Taste of Seed to Plate
Between rotations, relax in the Altius garden, mingle with other guests, and sample additional food offerings from Slow Food Denver and local partners. You’ll also get a taste of our Seed to Plate program to see how local students are learning to grow, cook, and enjoy real food.
