Session Description
In today’s polarized climate, conversations about Israel can quickly become emotionally charged, divisive, or difficult to navigate — even within our own families, friendships, and Jewish communities. Different generations, life experiences, political frameworks, and emotional connections to Israel often shape how we speak, listen, and understand one another.
This interactive session offers practical tools, mindsets, and communication strategies for engaging in more thoughtful, constructive, and empathetic conversations about Israel across lines of difference. Together, participants will explore how to move beyond debate and defensiveness toward deeper understanding, stronger relationships, and more meaningful dialogue.
Whether speaking with family members, fellow congregants, students, colleagues, neighbors, or friends, participants will leave with concrete tools for engaging difficult conversations with greater wisdom, courage, and compassion.
