Finding Balance: A Journey into Jewish Mussar
In spiritually challenging times, the ancient Jewish tradition of Mussar offers profound wisdom for inner growth and ethical living. Led by Temple Micah’s Rabbi Mo, this three-week exploration introduces participants to Mussar’s transformative practices, including cheshbon hanefesh (soul accounting), contemplative study of character traits, and guided reflection exercises. Through accessible teachings and hands-on experience, we’ll discover how these time-tested methods can help us cultivate patience, humility, gratitude, and resilience. Whether you’re seeking grounding during turbulent times or simply curious about this contemplative Jewish path, join us in exploring practices that have helped generations navigate life’s complexities with greater wisdom, compassion, and inner peace.
Session 1 will cover Mussar basics, and sessions 2 and 3 will focus on more practice. You’re encouraged to at least attend session 1 if you can’t attend them all.
