Welcome the 2025-2026 YAD Ambassadors

Sep 18, 2025

The Young Adult Division (YAD) builds an inclusive and connected community of young Jewish Coloradans (aged 21-45) through fun, relevant, and meaningful volunteer, social, educational, and philanthropic activities.

Our Ambassadors cover a broad spectrum of demographics from single professionals to young parents and all sorts of other identities. They’re planning some super fun activities just for you! Look out for these get-togethers throughout the year on our YAD Facebook page, YAD’s newsletter, and in JEWISHcolorado’s weekly Upcoming email. You can sign up for our digital communications here.

Zoe BermanZoe Berman

Coming to Denver via Pittsburgh and Dallas, Zoe has been enjoying the Mile High lifestyle since 2023. She and her husband, Joe, share a house on the west side with their dogs Goose and Gandalf. Zoe enjoys soaking up minerals and good vibes in hot springs, hosting theme parties, and helping people connect with the Jewish community.

Amy FriederAmy Frieder

Amy Frieder is originally from the Washington, D.C. area and relocated to Denver for a job opportunity and for the mountains. A previous YAD Ambassador immediately connected her to the young Jewish professional community, and she’s been involved ever since—hosting Shabbat dinners, bagel brunches, craft nights, and more. Amy enjoys skiing, hiking, camping, running, and exploring Colorado’s national, state, and local parks. She is excited to give back to and continue building community!

Andrew EngleAndrew Engel

Andrew was born and raised in east Denver and lived in D.C. for ten years, returning home with his wife in 2019. He has traveled extensively across the Middle East and North Africa and is passionate about the Jewish people and history, the outdoors and being in nature, seeing live music, and learning about and drinking wine. He is most passionate about his nine-month-old son, Abe.

Alana GoldbergAlana Goldberg

Alana’s family has been in the Denver Jewish community for generations. She is passionate about reading, writing, dance, and dogs. Alana recently completed a master’s in communication and implements these skills in a variety of professional and volunteer endeavors. She is excited to connect with the community in her second year as an ambassador!

Sasha GoodmanSasha Goodman

Sasha is a born-and-raised New Yorker whose Jewish Day School and active shul community shaped her deep love for Jewish life and inspired her to help others connect with their Jewish identity. A longtime Birthright trip facilitator, she has led many groups through Israel and also lived there while working for Tel Aviv’s PR & foreign press company. Now in Denver, Sasha is eager to help Jewish young adults find community. Living with chronic illnesses fuels her advocacy for accessibility and gives her a unique lens on building intentional connections. When not managing symptoms, busy with grad school, or prepping for a Birthright trip, she’s usually enjoying time with family, creating Jewish educational content, cooking, exploring outdoors, or curled up with her cat. She’s passionate about Jewish education, Israel, social justice, musical theater, good food, and now, being a YAD ambassador!

Daniel GrafmanDaniel Grafman

Daniel is an energetic, easy-going addition to the Denver community, having moved here out of Brooklyn within the last year. His first job out of college was working in the Jewish world for AEPi as a traveling consultant, and has since transitioned to a successful career in SaaS/Software sales. When he’s not crushing deals, Daniel is likely to be found at a Phish show (83 and counting!), golfing poorly, or mountain biking dangerously above his actual skill level. He can also be heard expressing his food opinions very loudly, such as Chicago’s best contribution to pizza is the tavern style pie, NOT deep dish!

Lauren HughesLauren Hughes

Lauren Hughes (she/her) is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, but has been living in Colorado for the past eleven years. A graduate of Colorado State University, she moved to the little mountain town of Steamboat Springs in 2019 and has never looked back! Lauren became very involved in the Jewish community after taking her Birthright trip at the ripe ol’ age of 26. Since then, she has started a Jewish young adult program in her community called The Har.

Lauren works as the Director of Development at a local nonprofit in town and also serves on JEWISHcolorado’s YAD Board. In her free time (when she has any!) you can find Lauren skiing powder, paddleboarding with her perfect little puppy Penny, camping and hiking, traveling, dancing at live music events, and reading. Lauren is passionate about connecting Jews from smaller, rural, and mountain-town communities and her events will always have a sort of rustic, outdoorsy flavor!

Naomi KoganNaomi Kogan

Naomi Kogan moved from Orlando, Florida to Lone Tree, Colorado in March 2025 with her fiancé, Ben, and her cat, Cheshire. She has a mild but non-lethal addiction to trips to Barnes & Noble, cool rocks, psychoanalyzing fictional characters, and exploring new hiking trails. Naomi is always looking forward to traveling to Israel, what’s for dinner, and making new friends. With the help of JEWISHcolorado’s YAD program, Naomi is passionate about building community in her new home and celebrating Jewishness together.

JDJD Krones

Jeremy (JD) Krones lives in a cabin outside of Grand Lake with his dog, Cauliflower. His career has been in environmental conservation and community organizing. Since March 2025, JD has worked at a local auto shop in addition to nonprofit consulting and doing other community-centered work throughout the West and Southwest. He helps organize the Grand County Jewish Community and has a strong appreciation for building and reinforcing Jewish identity and community. JD enjoys reading, writing, hiking, snowshoeing, and hanging with the moose on sunny Shabbat afternoons. He is excited to contribute to the Colorado Jewish scene through YAD!

Jeremy LowenJeremy Lowen

Jeremy Lowen is a Denver native and works as a corporate attorney at a national cooperative bank headquartered outside of Denver. In his free time, Jeremy enjoys fly-fishing, camping, and hiking alongside his dog, Nyco, playing the drums, and attending concerts. Jeremy is on the board of 3G Colorado, Colorado’s Living Links affiliate for third-generation descendents of Holocaust survivors, and is excited to broaden and deepen his connection with Denver’s Jewish community as a YAD Ambassador.

Genna MortonGenna Morton

Genna rejoins for her second year after serving as an Ambassador from 2022-2023. Genna is originally from New York and moved to Colorado in August 2020. Her happy place is on top of a mountain, and she loves learning new ways to get there. Genna is active in the Colorado Mountain Club, currently serving as the Denver Group co-chair and as a trip leader and volunteer instructor. She loves meeting new people, so feel free to drop her a line and say hi.

Zoe SigleZoë Sigle

Zoë’s values of tikkun olam and tzedakah have guided her since childhood. After reconnecting with Judaism through Denver’s vibrant Jewish young adult communities—especially Base Denver’s Embark program—she’s excited to serve as a YAD Ambassador and help strengthen a resilient, connected Jewish community with a focus on tikkun olam. Professionally, Zoë works in philanthropy, advising foundations and major donors on strategies to reduce animal suffering and build a more humane, sustainable food system. Outside of work, she teaches fitness classes, plays board games, bakes vegan treats, and enjoys the great outdoors with her partner and their dog.

Joseph VeingradJoseph Veingrad

Originally from Fort Lauderdale, FL, Joseph moved to Denver in 2015 and has been active in the Jewish community ever since. He and his wife, whom he married in 2023, are starting a family and looking forward to connecting with more like-minded Jewish couples in the area. Professionally, Joseph is a Data Engineering Manager at KPMG. Outside of work, he is an avid traveler, runner, and coffee aficionado. Alongside his wife, Joseph is also the co-creator of Denver Foodie Couple, an Instagram account dedicated to exploring the best bites, sips, and adventures around Colorado. He is excited to deepen his involvement in the Jewish community and meet new people through YAD.

William WeinerWilliam Weiner

William moved to Denver in 2014 with nothing but a fully packed Ford Taurus and a job offer. When looking to make friends, the first place he turned was volunteering with JEWISHcolorado, which led to joining a softball team, which has led to… now. William has been participating in different organizations since he moved here and is excited to be an Ambassador for a second year! When he’s not taking his dog to the park, you can find him baking up a storm in the kitchen, moseying along a trail, or telling jokes at an open mic…because his mom thinks he’s funny.
