Israel Unfiltered: Social Media Trends and the Voice of the Street

Join our Shlicha, Nelly Ben Tal, as you step into the vibrant world of Israeli social media to see how everyday Israelis are talking, joking, debating, and reacting to today’s realities. Using viral posts, memes, and local online commentary, we’ll explore what’s capturing Israelis’ attention — from political debates to pop culture moments and the clever, humorous ways people express themselves online. Participants will see what’s trending in real time, what Israelis are laughing at, worrying about, and celebrating, gaining a deeper understanding of Israel’s social and cultural pulse far beyond the headlines. This program blends seriousness and play, insight and humor, offering an unfiltered, authentic snapshot of Israel today as reflected through its social media.
