Faith & Technology: Collision or Confluence

November 16 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm MST

Free

Join Jerusalem author Tami “T/R” Ellison for a thought-provoking discussion, Faith & Technology: Collision or Confluence – Exploring Jewish life and practice in the 21st century and beyond.

Ellison brings these themes to life in her recently released novel, Strange Fire. Written in real-time following October 7th, the story seamlessly weaves a fictional narrative with current events to honor the people and places that have reshaped Israel’s national character and Jewish identity. Blending contemporary reality with speculative intrigue, the novel raises compelling questions for our time: What happens when technology collides with the Divine or the Beit HaMikdash? In a world where technology is rewriting reality, can it alter prophecy, or even destiny? And is challenging G-d’s timeline an act of faith and devotion or hubris?

Born in Chicago, Ellison made Aliyah from Denver to Israel in 2014. She is the co-founder of a health technology company and the inventor of six image-based patents. An accomplished fine arts photographer, she holds an M.S. with a research focus on systems and pattern formation. Ellison’s spiritual fiction works explore themes of redemption, perception, and consciousness, offering readers an immersion into the hidden forces shaping reality.
