Join JEWISHcolorado’s Dignity Grows volunteer initiative for a special event, Dignity Bros! Meet us at the Copper Kettle Brewery for a laid-back afternoon of meaningful impact. Period poverty — the lack of reliable access to menstrual and hygiene products — isn’t just a “women’s issue;” it’s a community challenge that affects families, coworkers, friends, and neighbors alike. Too many go without essentials, forcing impossible choices between basic needs.
As fathers, husbands, bosses, brothers, and friends, you can help break stigma, supply products, and support your community. Volunteers will stuff tote bags with a month’s worth of basic and feminine hygiene products to be distributed to The Women’s Bean Project. Come mix, pack, and make a difference with your hands and your voice — no prior experience is needed. Children are welcome to volunteer, but please note the event is in a brewery.
Can’t make it? Please consider making a donation online to help provide “hope in a bag” and pay it forward. When you make the donation online, please be sure to designate the gift to Women’s Philanthropy and in the comment section indicate “Dignity Grows.”
Cost: $36, includes one drink ticket, snacks and a $14 donation
Dignity Grows is a boots on the ground, volunteer initiative of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford and is supported by National Women’s Philanthropy of Jewish Federations of North America.
