Say “YES” to being part of an important discussion on women’s health, personal dignity, and the growing crisis of Period Poverty.”
Period poverty isn’t just a hygiene issue — it’s a dignity issue, a health issue, an economic an equity issue and a women’s issue! That is why JEWISHcolorado Women’s Philanthropy became one of 65 Dignity Grows chapters nationwide fighting period poverty.
Join us at Urban Peak for a light lunch and panel discussion with representatives from the JEWISHcolorado Dignity Grows Committee, Urban Peak, South High School and Florence Crittenton Services – all united by a shared belief: no young person should have to choose between managing their health and maintaining their dignity. Each organization supports youth and young women navigating instability, inequity, or systemic barriers — and period poverty intersects with all three in deeply human ways.
Urban Peak supports youth experiencing homelessness, South High School reaches students striving for stability in the classroom, and Florence Crittenton Services empowers young mothers balancing school, work, and parenting.
Following the panel discussion we will pack 300 hygiene totes which will be distributed to these wonderful partner organizations and take a tour of Urban Peak.
Together, we can lift up young women in our community!
Dignity Grows is an initiative of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford and is supported by National Women’s Philanthropy of Jewish Federations of North America.
