Across Israel, sirens will pierce the air and an entire nation will stop — in the streets, on the highways, in their homes — and stand in silence for those who gave everything so Israelis could live in safety, and so that a Jewish state remains possible. We choose to stand with them.
Jews around the world gather on this day not only to mourn, but to affirm: we respect life. We choose life.
This community-wide ceremony brings together clergy from across Colorado, community members, professionals, and guests in solemn solidarity. You will hear personal words from our Shinshinim – our young Israeli emissaries who have lived among us this year and will soon return home to serve in the IDF. Their voices carry something rare: the lived reality of what this day means growing up in Israel.
Join us in the Social Hall at the Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center on Monday, April 20, as we unite to honor the memory of those who bravely served and sacrificed for the Jewish State, as well as those lost to senseless acts of terrorism. We will also recognize the enduring connection our community shares with Israel.
If you wish to memorialize a friend or family member who was a fallen Israeli soldier or victim of terror, kindly reach out to Nelly Ben Tal at nbental@jewishcolorado.org.
If you have a friend or family member that we have memorialized in the past and want to verify that all the information is correct, please email Nelly Ben Tal at nbental@jewishcolorado.org.
Yom HaZikaron ceremony is kindly hosted by Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center.
