The U.S. and the Holocaust Screening & Panel Discussion

Join PBS12 (Denver, Colorado) and our local Colorado partners for an important community conversation and a screening clip of the acclaimed documentary, The U.S & The Holocaust by Ken Burns, Lynn Novick, and Sarah Botstein.
The evening will include remarks by Colorado Attorney General Phil Wiser as well as a screening clip of the film. Through riveting firsthand testimony of witnesses and survivors who, as children, endured persecution, violence, and flight as their families tried to escape Hitler, The U.S & The Holocaust delves deeply into the tragic human consequences of public indifference, bureaucratic red tape, and restrictive quota laws in America.
Following the screening clip, there will be a panel discussion moderated by Dan Leshem of JEWISHcolorado. Panelists will include Adam Rovner, Director of the Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Denver; Estelle Nadel, a Holocaust survivor; Pamela Roth, the daughter of Holocaust survivors; Todd Hennessy, co-founder of Colorado Holocaust Educators, and Kristen Blessman, PBS12 General Manager.
