Over the last 50 years, over 3,000 young Coloradans have traveled to Israel with the Joyce Zeff Israel Study Tour.

While a lot has changed in the world over those five decades, our commitment to IST has not. As one of the longest running and last remaining community teen trips to Israel in North America, IST is a jewel in our Jewish community’s crown.

It was the summer I found my Jewish identity.

When I went to Israel on IST, Israel became a real place, with real people and real complexity—not just a vague idea discussed at religious school. I knew that, when I returned to America, I wanted to be a proud Jew, and the first step was finding a college that had an active Hillel.
