The Colorado Hebrew Chorale will reprise its program “The Girl Who Sang- In Story and Song” Sunday, May 18, 2025, 2:00-3:30 pm at the Sam Gary branch of the Denver Public Library, 2961 Roslyn Street, Denver, CO 80238.. The program commemorates the life and legacy of Estelle Nadel (1934-2003) who was a hidden child in Poland during the Holocaust. Estelle was an esteemed soprano soloist with the Chorale.
The program includes dramatic readings based upon the graphic memoir, The Girl Who Sang, written by Estelle and illustrated by Sammy Savos. The script was prepared by Selena Naumoff of the Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Denver. The Chorale will sing several songs appropriate for the occasion. The program is free and is open to the community.
The event is sponsored by the Colorado Hebrew Chorale, Denver Public Library and SCFD, the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District.
