.Join Rabbi Sara Gilbert who in 1994 said as her daughter prepared for her Bat Mitzvah, “it was important for me to provide a model of taking on a personal religious challenge and breaking new ground as a woman.” HEA was forward thinking not only in the 90’s but even earlier with Rabbi Laderman z”l at the helm. Rabbi Gilbert will provide historical context and facilitate a panel of West Side women as they reflect on their early Bat Mitzvah experiences, their challenges, triumphs and legacy.
