Join us in person at CU Boulder Law School or by Zoom for a conversation with the keynote speaker for the 2023 Days of Remembrance programming, Phillipe Sands will be the prominent international lawyer, Queen’s Counsel, and multiple award-winning author, Philippe Sands.

His book East West Street: On the Origins of Genocide and Crimes against Humanity (2016) has been awarded numerous prizes, including the 2016 Baillie Gifford Prize for Non-Fiction. His latest book is The Ratline: Love, Lies and Justice on the Trail of a Nazi Fugitive (2020). Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Sands has written multiple influential op-eds on genocide and other war crimes taking place there.

This is one of two hybrid events produced by the CU Center for Bioethics and Humanities, CU Law, the CU Dept of Medicine and the CU Program in Jewish Studies with support for the William Silvers Endowment for Holocaust Genocide and Contemporary Bioethics.  We will also have a conversation with Professor Sands at CU Boulder on April 20th at noon which will be livestreamed and open for in-person attendance from the public.  RSVP for one or both events using the same link.
