Come see the lighting of Boulder County’s largest menorah!

BOULDER, CO: December is one of the darkest times of the year, and right now the world feels like a very dark place. But this year, as it does every year, Chanukah will arrive to help us create and spread light.

For over 20 years, the Boulder Jewish community has gathered on Pearl Street Mall for the lighting of the biggest Hanukkah menorah in the county; a public display of Jews being a light unto the world.

This year our celebration takes place on Monday, December 30, the sixth night of Chanukah, at 5:30PM on the Pearl Street Mall, just in front of the courthouse.

As always, there will be a sing-along with the amazing Steve Brodsky, fresh latkes made right there, hot cocoa, coffee, and soufganyot (jelly doughnuts). And the Boulder Fire Department is bringing a ladder truck to create the Chanukah gelt drop so you can stand under the rain of chocolate gelt and good luck.

No registration is required. Just show up at 5:30pm on Monday, December 30. However, if you do register, you can reserve your own Chanukah hat. (Limited number available so don’t wait.)

Sponsored by the Boulder County Center for Judaism, the Boulder JCC, Boulder Jewish News, the Oreg Foundation, JEWISHColorado, Carolyn Bleicher of RE/MAX of Boulder, and the Wildman, Franklin, and Wong families.
