This year’s program will feature a conversation with Holocaust Survivor Paul Galan. Paul is a native of former Czechoslovakia.  Through a series of unusual circumstances and an extraordinary amount of luck, he and his immediate family members – although separated from one another – all survived the war. Paul immigrated to the United States as a teenager and spent his career in film production. On his retirement in 2006, he decided to put his skills as a communicator towards disseminating the memory and the legacy of the Holocaust by sharing his own story of survival during that dark period in history with student as well as adult audiences. He also produced several video projects dealing with the Holocaust. Paul is a member of the Board of Trustees and currently co-president of the Holocaust Museum and Study Center located at Rockland Community College in Suffern, NY.

The program will also include remarks from Governor Jared Polis, a presentation to the winners of ADL’s A Tribute to Moral Courage Student Essay Contest, the chanting of the El Maleh Memorial Prayer and more.
