The High Holidays are a 10-day period that begins with Rosh Hashanah and concludes with Yom Kippur. We will examine how this became a special and meaningful 10-day period in the Jewish calendar. Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, begins on Friday, September 11. Yom Kippur, the day of Atonement, begins on Sunday, September 20. This class will cover the rituals, themes, customs, food, and ways you can make the holiday meaningful.
