SCHLEP THE SLOPES 2010

POSTPONED until Summer 2011

Schlep the Slopes, which was scheduled for Sunday, August 8, 2010 has been post-poned until 2011. With all of the excitement and activity surrounding the Maccabi Games in Denver during the first week of August, the Allied Jewish Federation has decided to reschedule Schlep the Slopes until summer 2011. Our active and athletic staffers and volunteers will be out in full force to support the esteemed athletes coming to compete in Denver from August 1-August 6, 2010.

Three rides to choose from:
■ 15-mile Family-friendly Ride
■ 39-mile Recreational Ride (600 foot elevation gain)
■ 65-mile Scenic Ride up Lookout Mountain (3091 foot elevation gain)

All rides will culminate in a kosher barbecue for Schlep the Slopes riders and their families. The barbecue will take place at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield beginning at 11:00 a.m. Federation is currently recruiting Ride Captains, volunteers, and sponsors for the event. We are also encouraging local Jewish agencies, organizations, day schools, synagogues, and other institutions to form teams representing their respective groups.
