JEWISHcolorado supports Israel and advocates for the Jewish world. We educate, empower, and connect our community to the global Jewish people through strategic grantmaking, community programs, and supplemental campaign initiatives.
Birthright sends young Jews, ages 18-26 on a FREE 10-day trip to Israel. YAD sends a Colorado Community bus annually. The trip spends extra time in Ramat HaNegev, our partnership region in the South of Israel. You’ll get to know other people your age living in Colorado and not only have a life-changing trip, but will have a vibrant community to which to return. Israel Engagement Program
Through our Community Shlichah Program, our Israeli “Emissary” connects Colorado to Israel and Israel to Colorado as part of an initiative in cooperation with the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI). Over the past three years, our Shlichah has brought Israeli culture to Colorado through education, commentary on events, and counsel about travel to Israel.
The JEWISHcolorado Young Emissary Program (Shinshinim), develops opportunities to attract and retain young people in synagogue education programs and youth groups, strengthening their connection with Judaism and the Jewish people before they leave for college. Young Emissaries are 18 year old Israeli high school graduates who are recruited and trained by the Jewish Agency to take part in a year of service prior to entering the Israel Defense Forces. The Israelis who are selected are creative, energetic young people who have a passion for Israel and a strong sense of volunteerism and connection to the Jewish people.Learn More

Walk for Israel
Our Walk for Israel is an excellent example of how the Israel Engagement Center has truly impacted our community by offering our constituency an opportunity to connect with– and demonstrate their passion and pride for Israel. In the past, over 1,500 members of the Colorado Jewish community joined together and walked in support of Israel.
