Colorado’s nonprofit organizations are the heart of our state’s communities, caring for the people and places across Colorado. JEWISHcolorado stands with countless other Colorado nonprofit organizations urging passage of the Colorado Nonprofit Sustainability Act, HB 1013, which will be heard by the House Finance Committee today, Wednesday.
Through this legislation, nonprofit donors are able to claim a 25% state tax credit on their endowment donations. In fact, Legislative Council estimates this bill will increase giving by up to $48 million per year. Endowment contributions ensure supported programs are able to operate successfully over the long-term. Scholarships, after-school programs, art and recreation programs for at-risk youth, conservation projects, pro bono counseling, disaster relief, library programs, capital campaigns and more can all be supported through such legislation.
Please join JEWISHcolorado and Colorado nonprofits across the state in supporting HB 1013 to meet the needs of our growing communities long into the future.
