Jewish Immigrant Experience in America Beginning in the 1960s

(Part II of Marilyn Kopelman’s series about the Jewish Immigrant Experience in America)

What was it like to be a Jewish immigrant in the mid-20th century? The made-for-television character Mrs. Maisel was not “normal” or “standard” for the time. Discover some of the real-life stories from poverty and persecution to freedom and equality. Marilyn Kopelman will share how the stereotyping of the Jewish people in America was problematic and far from the truth.

Thursday, June 14 – 1:00 pm at BMH-BJ, 560 S. Monaco Parkway, Denver

RSVP: Karen Douglass, 303.324.7384, karencashdouglass@gmail.com
